store multiple answers of question

I have questions having single answers as well multiple answers , i want to know how to store multiple answers and single answers, and display it page in asp.net.

Hi Monica, Just design a new table which will refer to Question table. Table 1: tbl_Question(ID, Text, Type) Table 2: tbl_QuestionAnswer(AnswerID, QuestionID, Text) Table 3: tbl_QuestionOptions(OptionID, QuestionID, Text) Here QuestionID refers to ID column of Table1. If you one question and it has multiple answers. In table2 you can insert multiple answers with respect to Question ID. If it question has only one answer then it inserts only one record to Table2. Table 3 contains all options of a question. Suppose a question has 4 options then you will have 4 records in Table 3 with respect to question. Another way is if you are sure that you will have always 4 options for a question then there is no need to add Table 3. Just add 4 columns(Option1, Option2, Option3, Option4) in Table1 . That is completely depend on your requirement.

hello Manas, thank you for the reply, but i have query, if i ll store in answers in text form , how will display the choices on webpage.
