my question was if we put RadioButton instead of RadioButtonList then how can we store user input in database??? for eg. if we put RadioButton ID="RadioButton1" runat="server" GroupName="Gender" Text="Male" />    Text="Female" /> instead of RadioButtonList ID="rbtGender" runat="server" RepeatDirection="Horizontal"> Male Female @suthish nair if i cud..i would not post question here

Your question is actually two or more questions. One question is how to get the status of a group of RadioButtons; in other words, the index of which one (if any) is selected. Another question is how to store that value into a table. As Suthish suggests, just try to do it, then ask specific questions about whatever part you do not understand.
