my question was if we put RadioButton instead of RadioButtonList then how can we store user input in database??? for eg. if we put RadioButton ID=RadioButton1 runat=server GroupName=Gender Text=Male />    Text=Female /> instead of RadioButtonList ID=rbtGender runat=server RepeatDirection=Horizontal> Male Female @suthish nair if i cud..i would not post question here

Your question is actually two or more questions. One question is how to get the status of a group of RadioButtons; in other words the index of which one (if any) is selected. Another question is how to store that value into a table. As Suthish suggests just try to do it then ask specific questions about whatever part you do not understand.
