i am try to read ini file from ftp location into string. and get it . but i dont know how to read a string which have four line read line by line like first line second line etc. please help us to solve issue.

Try with below code: string url = ftp://ftp.mysite.com/data/ + myFile.ini ; WebClient request = new WebClient(); request.Credentials = new NetworkCredential( anonymous  anonymous@example.com ); try { byte [] newFileData = request.DownloadData(url); string fileString = System.Text.Encoding.UTF8.GetString(newFileData); Console.WriteLine(fileString); } catch (WebException e) { // Log error } Note: You may need to change the URL and network credential as per your server.
