Sub Menu should be invisible.

Question

Hi I wanted one of the sub menus should be invisible to customers where as they should be visible to employees. Customer entered all his details.I am planning to have a view report so that he can view his details.For this i am planning to use grid view.But grid view displays all the table data.Here a single customer can view all the customer details which shouldn't be happened but the employee should be able to see all the customer details.So i am planning to make the sub menu to be invisible to users and the other thing is that if i wanted to get a report of a single customer how to do that? Hi Sita I am giving you the concept of addressing the issue you are having 1. In your application their are two major rolesone is employee and another one being the customer. 2. So their should a role wise cheking in the landing page where you are displaying all the menu may be by using a div and database entries.So you can make the role specific visibilty to menus. 3. For the report which you want to show using the gridview you can use the page or different page for showing the report to customer and employee. 4. Again you need to check this by the role type if role type is customer then the logged in user data will be available in the grid and not other customer's data. So when you login as an employee you will be able to see all the customer's data. 5. As far as menu is concerned make it role specific and visibile as per role type. Hope this solves your problem.
