Suppose I made an after Trigger

Ques: Suppose I made an after Trigger on Delete. Now I fire Delete * From tablename. will this trigger work? Now do I fire truncate from table name (instead of delete command). will this trigger work now? If yes or no then why?

Hi Manish A TRUNCATE TABLE statement is in effect a DELETE statement it does not activate a trigger because the operation does not log individual row deletions.

hi manish yes it will work for Delete but TRUNCATE statements do not fire triggers. Thanks Pravin.
