Sysdate error in sql server 2000

Question

I Have table in sql server 2000 and query

select * from Contact where Hir_Date=sysdate

Hirdate is datetime

but it gives error . Is there any possible option to retrieve data from sql server using current date

i Know one query

select getdate() as current_Date but how can link this query with above query

Hi Rahul If u are writing this query in the web page then u can pass the current date through the DateTime.Now.Date and if u are writing this query in the Stored Procedure then u can use the getdate in the query. Happy Coding!!
