system restore in windows 10

Hello.

          After a windows 10 malfunction I attempted a system restore ( using your excellent tutorial ) unfortunately no previous restore points are shown, have attempted to create my own date but no success, the system will only show the date of my restore attempt, are there any solutions that you can suggest.
