System.InvalidCastException

Question

Can any1 tell me why the below line throws an exception? if ((DateTime.Now.TimeOfDay.CompareTo(((DateTime)RowSchedule['StartEnter']).TimeOfDay) >= 0) && (DateTime.Now.TimeOfDay.CompareTo(((DateTime)RowTurno['LimiteEnter']).TimeOfDay) <= 0)) The RowSchedule is a DataRow that retrieve the data from a Table from a DataSet. The table have 6 DateTime columns. This is the excepton: System.InvalidCastException Additional information: Specified cast is not valid. Any idea? Thax in advance.

Instead of casting the DateTime object try to use the Parse() or ParseExact(0 methods of the DateTime object. Did you save the DateTime as a string in your database or whatever? If so, the Parse() method will do the trick if the string is formatted correctly :)

sorry, it's not RowTurno, it's RowSchedule too. The RowSchedule is a DataRow that retrieve the data from a Table. The table have 6 columns. Therefore, RowSchedule have the same colums. The datatype of the 6 colums is DateTime. Right Code: if ((DateTime.Now.TimeOfDay.CompareTo(((DateTime)RowSchedule["StartEnter"]).TimeOfDay) >= 0) && (DateTime.Now.TimeOfDay.CompareTo(((DateTime)RowShedule["LimiteEnter"]).TimeOfDay) <= 0)) Any idea? What is the datatype of object are contained by RowSchedule[] and RowTurno[] ??
