Volt Technical Resources has a contract position open for a Technical Support Analyst who is needed to perform the highest level of support and consulting for an internal help organization in Redmond, Washington, using the latest technology.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs highest level of technical support and consulting to other Support and Systems Analysts by solving highly complex support problems.
- Use of an incident tracking tool to communicate to internal contacts about service requests.
- Create forms including nomination, bug and survey forms using an internal administration tool (which requires administrative access to the server).
- Create newsgroups, web content segments and guest accounts.
- Create reporting files for viewing survey results.
- Make services available and test in a staging and production environment.
- Executes procedures to accomplish business goals.
- Coordinates and manages acceptance of new releases into production.
- May delegate assignments to other analysts on production systems and develop and maintain information for knowledge base.
- May manage some projects independently. May perform highest level of analysis and be required to ensure appropriate implementation of methodology.
- Tier 2 and 3 support for BGIT applications using Enterprise technologies such as SQL, IIS and Windows Server 2003.
Requirements:
This person should have a minimum of 5 years of related high level support job experience. 2 to 5 years of high-level internal support experience in a Development environment is required.
Experience with new development technologies like ASP.Net and C# is absolutely required.
Tools and Applications used in this project include: MSE, VSS, Product Studio, SQL Query Analyzer, Enterprise Manager, BetaTracker, BetaPlace, Outlook Express and Remote Desktop Connection.
Required Skills:

Very strong T-SQL and admin skills (MCDBA is preferred)

Ability to troubleshoot network issues between servers and geographic locations.

Ability to troubleshoot IIS and Windows Server.

ASP - ability to read and modify, but not necessarily write new code.

Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming - must be able to follow code flow and troubleshoot code written in VB.NET and C#.

XML / XSL / XSLT - understanding of XML and the ability to write and troubleshoot style-sheets.
Soft Skills: Good time management, as well as solid communication skills are preferred.
Bonus Skills:

MCSE experience (not necessarily certified)
-
Security - experience working with Microsoft security standards.

Tech documentation experience.

Development experience (C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Web Services).
