TexBox.Enabled = False Text Color!!

Any one know how to get rid of the dull gray for text disabled. I have a workaround on the full framework, but nearly everything would have to be extended for the compact framework. Cheers Alan

You could cheat and never disable the textbox. Just grab the GotFocus() event from the textbox and if you do not want to let them write to it call Focus on another object. A local boolean could be stored to determine if you want to allow the user to use the textbox or not.

I appear to be on my own on this one but in case anyone is watching here is where I am at! I have several ways of overcoming the problem on the full framework which do not suit the Compact so I have replaced the textboxes with buttons (ButtonEx from OpenNETCF ) which does the job as you can change both Back & ForeColor. These are not available on the MS compact framework. They seem to work fine and does not slow the PPC down that I can tell. I have about 100 boxes (now buttons) for which I have created my own Numeric SIP as a panel - and no direct input to the buttons. Happy to hear criticism as I am new to this and finding my own way.
