Text to image *newb*

Question

Hello! I've been reading all these articles about rotating scaling and so on. Also about how to add comments to pics. My question is wheter it's possible to generate a image-file (jpg gif or bmp for example) from text only. More precise: You put in some text in a Textbox say 1/2 then I'd like to generate a picture with a fraction with the numbers on top of eachother. (since my explanation might be a bit hard to get check this out: http://www.hargelid.se/mathprob.jpg This means i must parse the expression put the 1 in a specified position draw a line and put the 2 in another specified position. Is there any components doing this already? Any other suggestions are also welcome. The closest I've got is Soft4sciences MathML Renderer ( http://www.soft4science.com/fr_index.html?/products/MathML_Renderer/s4s_MathML_Renderer.html ) but I would very much like to skip the whole MathML-step. Maybe it's not possible but maybe someone can tell me that =) Thanks in advance from a stuck one....

If you meant instantiating a bitmap... Bitmap picture = new Bitmap(int width int height); does the job but make sure to call Bitmap.dispose() later on or you'll hit a memory leak.

Create a new FileStream using the filepath of the bitmap then create a new Bitmap using the FileStream. Check the documentation for the different constructors (I don't remember the exact code).

how can i load a bitmap file using GDI? and thank u.

You'll need to parse the fraction and then using GDI+ to draw the fraction and save it to a jpeg. (You'll need the Graphics methods DrawString and DrawLine for example). Check out my Math Equation Editor Article here on C# Corner to get some ideas. Best Regards -Mike G.
