textbox

Question

i have a textbox in which i will display id from database
i want if last record added in database have id 10. next time a click to add button it display id 11
by checking last id in database is 10. in database i use id auto increment. the text box will only dispaly id.
bacause database will automatically increase id no.

Hi ta mu You can use this type of query to get Next Database no for your purpose Examples Select IsNull(Max(ColumnName)0) + 1 AS MaxID From TableName Select IsNull(Max(ContactID)0) + 1 AS MaxID From tblContacts

Hey ta mu So what do you want? You want to show the added 11th id from the database or add 11th id in the database by clicking new Add Button? If you want to add next row by Add button then it will automatically increase into 11 as you described in your post. Please post your cs file code to know more about.
