Looking back through your posts I imagine you must be referring to this thread( http://www.c-sharpcorner.com/Forums/Thread/118650/how-do-i-navigate-between-records-in-a-generic-listwith.aspx ). The reason that the code in that Windows Forms thread doesn't work in an ASP.NET application is because the value of the private variable rowIndex is not preserved between callbacks to the server.
