I have experience in using SQL SERVER in C# programming but I didn't use it in Android programming Mostly the Android Platform uses SQLite DB. Because as per SQLite.org : SQLite is an in-process library that implements a self-contained serverless zero-configuration transactional SQL database engine. AFAIK most of the Android developers uses SQLite. Also SQL syntax are almost same between SQL Server and SQLite. Hi Joe Two types of applications are being developed these days.1)Which have a local database .2)Which uses webservice and database is remote .For local database Sqllite is most commonly used.In the case of webservice any database can be used.
