hi all, When i use Response in my project it shows 'The name 'Response' does not exist in the current context'. How to solve this problem.

This question was asked long ago, hopefully everyone got the correct answers, but just for the record and hopefully, someone searching for the answer will get it here. First thing, Response is a property of Page class (system.web.ui.page). It is available or we can say it is incontext in code behind files (.aspx.cs files) because that class is a child ofsystem.web.ui.pageclass. But it is not available in other classes because theydo not inherit Page class. Simply having Web Application does not mean that Response should be available there. Hope this clears all doubts. Its just the path where the file should be saved. Path and the file name. You can specify by yourself.

system.web is already added in the namespace. and if i use HttpContext.Response in place of Response also, it shows the message like "The name 'HttpContext' does not exist in the current context".

Hi Ruchi R what you want to make sure is that 'Response' is visible to the class you are using it in and remember to check the case sensitivity on Response as well. John
