The type or namespace name 'DAL' could not be found

Question

hi every body
i am developing an ERP application in 4.0
Web Appliction "3tier"
i have taken 3 projects inside one .sln file
one is DAL and one is BAL and .aspx.cs file
when ever i am adding a new class file to the project
and build it and add reference to the BAL/DAL and runs the application
it says .dll not found (or)assembly not found

Please Help

thanks for the interest shown i have actually 3 projects inside a .sln file DAL BAL UI/PRESENTATION LAYER DAL already has many class files as well BAL has. But when i am adding a new item(CLASS FILE) in DAL say ClsDataPriceList and building the DAL project and providing reference in BAL project i should be able to access the class ClsDataPriceList in any class of BAL project. but i am not able to access the class name in BAL project class files I am Uploading doc file (screen shot Of my Project(Design)) In Solution Explorer Please see It Thanks

Make sure you project reference to the respective projects. ASPX / web project should have reference to BAL Project. BAL project should have reference to DAL project.

seems that you missed to refer the DAL layer/project inside your code. Please share your code so that we better understand your problem.
