Three database server install in my pc.

Question

Hi,

I want to install three database server.
1. mysql
2. sql
3. xamp

mysql and sql databse server run successfully.

but when i install xamp databse server it gives following error

   Problem detected!
   Port 80 in use by "Unable to open process" with PID 4!
Apache WILL NOT start without the configured ports free!
You need to uninstall/disable/reconfigure the blocking application
or reconfigure Apache and the Control Panel to listen on a different port

how to install three database server ?

If so, you do not actually want to do that; if you do that, every request (from e.g. a browser) needs to specify that port to be able to connect. That's why I advised to use a different IP address for both web servers (apache and IIS). Questions: Do you have IIS installed? If so, do you have IIS running? If so, do you need it to be running all the time? Do you have skype installed? If so, do you have skype running? If so, do you need it to use port 80? What do you want to do with this setup? There might be other services / programs using port 80. If you need to find out which process / program uses a certain port, you can refer to http://stackoverflow.com/questions/48198/how-can-you-find-out-which-process-is-listening-on-a-port-on-windows and do research from there if necessary (e.g. all options for the netstat command). Advise how to continue depends on the answers to the questions.

after configering port i have following error Error: Apache shutdown unexpectedly. This may be due to a blocked port, missing dependencies, improper privileges, a crash, or a shutdown by another method. Press the Logs button to view error logs and check the Windows Event Viewer for more clues If you need more help, copy and post this entire log window on the forums

The error indicates an apache (webserver) issue, not a database server issue. You have something else listening on port 80. If you have skype running, that might be a possible cause. There is a setting in skype to prevent it from using ports 80 and 443. Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> Connection Uncheck the tickbox Use port 80 and 443 .... It might also be that you have IIS running; in which case you need to stop one of the two. Or modify one of the two not to listen on the same IP address (probably localhost or 127.0.0.1). Next some terminology: xamp is NOT a database server. xamp is a package that includes (amongst others) mysql and there would normally not be a need to install mysql separately. If you however have that need, you will probably run into a similar issue as both mysql servers are configured to listen on port 3306. If there is a conflict, you need to find the mysql ini files and modify that port in those files for one of the installs (make backups first).
