timer event

hi guys can you please help me I need to create a tick timer event on the in my class can anybody help me to on how to go about doing this please guys

thankx a lot for your responce but I wanted my timer to be within the class(in a class library project ) but anyway I already got the solution I copied the tick event from one of my form to my class and then it worked private System.Windows.Forms. Timer timer = new System.Windows.Forms. Timer (); timer.Enabled = true ; timer.Interval = 1000; timer.Start(); this .timer.Tick += new System. First you need to add a timer to your form. The timer's only event is the tick event. So if you are using Visual Studio go to the properties window click on the lightning-bolt icon (the events) and double click on Tick. This will create a tick event handler. Then add your code. In the properties window set the Enabled property to true. Also in the properties window you can set the interval (in milliseconds). Hope this helps!
