title case for dropdownlist items in windows form c#

Actually I've just noticed that the OP asked for Windows Forms whereas I've posted code for ASP.NET :( There's no DropDownList control in Windows Forms but the closest equivalent is the ComboBox. If the ComboBox isn't data-bound the following code should work: TextInfo ti = CultureInfo.GetCultureInfo(en-US).TextInfo; object[] items = (from object o in comboBox1.Items select (object)ti.ToTitleCase(o.ToString())).ToArray(); comboBox1.Items.Clear(); comboBox1.Items.AddRange(items); If it is data-bound then it's best to change the underlying data source.

There is in fact a method in the .NET framework to change text to title case though it's well hidden! using System.Globalization; // .... TextInfo ti = CultureInfo.GetCultureInfo(en-US).TextInfo; foreach (ListItem li in dropdownlist1.Items) { li.Text = ti.ToTitleCase(li.Text); }
