How can I get the total number of columns in the current row of a SqlDataReader instance?

Hi Richa There is an property called FieldCount which gets the number of columns in the current row. SqlCommand cmd = new SqlCommand(); cmd.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure; cmd.CommandText = Proc_RetrieveEmployees; SqlDataReader reader = cmd.ExecuteReader(); while(reader.Read()) { int columns = reader.FieldCount; } Hope this will help you.
