Tract the Sharepoint document counts

Hi all I want tract the Sharepoint document counts(how many documents added deleted) using wcf service. Can you guys give some points?? Thanks in advance.

You can use PowerShell script to get this information as shown here . Then you can all this PowerShell script from your WCF code as shown here . You may need to tweak the PS script to return results in the format you can use in your WCF service.
