how to transfer files from android phone to laptop in windows 8?

No special techniques required. You just connect your mobile phone with data cable to the Laptop it will install required drivers automatically. As soon the driver installs you can see a drive icon (or Two in case you've memory card inside). Now you can access it like a drive do whatever you want i.e: Copy Paste Delete Format... anything!
