Trim Text in a textbox.

Question

Hi I am populating data from access database to Textbox. I had put max length of 11 but I see characters more than 10 populated in the text box. Example: If I have populated value in the text box as 1234567.1234567 I would like to show only 1234567.123. How do I go about doing this? Awaiting your response! Thanks!

One alternative is to use the String.Substring method to get the first 10 characters in the data binding expression.

Thanks for the reply but I am not able to access the databsae to do this alteration. What would be other ways to do it through coding? - Is their any properties in the textbox or anything else? Awaiting your response!

There are many ways about this - one approach is to limit the data length before you bind data to the textbox. You could limit the data directly in your database query - this will also reduce the data traffic (marginally maybe)
