Unhandled exception

Question

Dear All Im recording a video on button click.If i record morethan 3 times continously on button click it was throwing an exception.The generated exception was: Unhandled exception at 0x00000000 in myapp.exe: 0xC0000000: Access violation reading location 0x00000000.Can any one help me how to solve this problem?. Thanks in advance.

As Sam says it could be anything but there's one small clue. Judging by the address it sounds like your code is trying to dereference a null pointer - a common error in C++ programming. If you're using a COM control or library to record the video I'd read the documentation again and check that the arguments you're passing to the appropriate method(s) are always valid.

No one can help you. That is a very general error with millions of possible causes. When you get that error during debugging the debugger will show you the line that the error occurs at. What do you see there? Note that catastrophic errors such as that occur when a program ignores other errors. Programmers don't like dealing with the possibility of errors so then when an error occurs they get an error such as what you are getting now. Hopefully you will get a clue to the problem by looking at the source code line where the error occurs.
