update combobox

Question

hi, I have a problem with combobox. I create a combobox in form1 this combobox display a list from the database. in addition i create another form2 makes a update on the table but the combo box list does not do this update. Can someone help me to solve this?

Ok, What I outlined earlier in one of my replies was the solution to this problem . So is the main issue " You are not able to Re-Populate the combo box in Form 1 from Form 2 after updating the Data base " ?

My understanding of your problem is You have a combo box in form 1 that shows the data from a table in the DB . Now you update the DB from form 2 . But the latest updated data is not shown in the combo box present in Form 1 . Please correct me if I am wrong in understanding your problem . Thanks, Priyan

Say in Form 2 you are probably saving the data to the database during some button click . In the click event you might have some code to establish the connection and update the DB . In the same click event once you have completed the DB update write the code to populate the Combo Box (This would be ideally the same code you would have written in Form 1) Thanks, Priyan If you found this useful Please mark this as Answer

Hi, Is your problem that the the update made from Form 2 is not becoming visible in the Combo box in Form 1 ? This is probably because : On form1 Load you are populating the combo box with values from the DB . In form 2 you are updating the data base . But the combox is not binded with the latest db data . So once you update the database from form2 the next statement should be to populate the combo box again from the DB . This logic should be written in Form 2 itself .
