update data base

my data base in 2008. i want update this data base in 2012 or 2014 with complete data and schema. When i move all data from old data to new data using generating scrip and run giving Memory error. can any easy method or trick and any method

Take back up and restore the database . Make sure that you have the proper back up .

As Bikesh said you can do like that. Either take a back up of database(it generates *.bak)and restore in new server. Or you can attach the *.mdf and *.ldf file in new server. However your issue is related to memory. So try have memory before you restore.

I have already done for our client . take backup and restore on other server. or copy mdf and ldf file and attach in other server.
