update Date/Time in Access DB

Question

well i have a problem in updating Date/Time in Access DB and allways take this erorr msg ; Data type mismatch in criteria expression. so if any body know who i can do it in c# i`ll be thank full.

Also if you can store a date directly to access database and then see which format it is. Accordingly you hardcode the value and test it. It if is working then you dynamically pass it through the date variable. If you do step by step process you can fix the issue.

Declare a date variable and use the variable in your codebehind like the following. // assigning todays date by creating a date variable DateTime dt = DateTime.Now; // making it short date since the format in the access db is short date dt.ToShortDateString(); // inserting values to the access db insert into Savings (UpdationDateAccountBalance1Rate1) values ('+dt.ToString()+''+RSacbal1.Text.Trim()+''+txtRSRate1.Text.Trim()+'); Note that if you have the formatting of the date diffferent please change it accordingly in the 2nd line of code.
