Update DropDownList inside the GridView with Button outside

Question

The question is too old but i dint know how to solve it. I need to update the dropdownlist which is inside the gridview the (single)button is outside the grid for all dropdownbox

Hi I think your update button in footer row. You can use on fire Rowupdating event of gridview and get all gridview rows values and updat it like. string Status=; while (i { Status=dataGridView1.Rows[i].Cells[2].Value; //write you update query.. }

reload your data on Update button click i.e. if you are manually creating above list instead of binding data to listview then you need to individually update all the dropdown lists when update button is clicked as of ListView you can simply refresy your list on each update button click.
