Update panel refreshes page instead of gridview while paging

Question

Hi all

I have gridview inside update panel. I used template field inside gridview.but when i changed the page...update panel stops working and entire page get refereshed..i want to be refresh only gridview.......

how can i use trigger here ? if i use trigger then i need to keep gridview outside the update panel. sp then what will be in update panel
