Update record based on date format in oracle using c#

Question

Sir Can  i have update query on whichi can update record based on datefromat in oracle using c# I have tried both this. Update STI.CANCELRECEIPT SET UPLOADED='Y' WHERE CANCELDT=' + Convert.ToDateTime(dt.Rows(i)(CANCELDT).ToString).ToString(dd-MMM-yyyy) + ' Update STI.CANCELRECEIPT SET UPLOADED='Y' WHERE CANCELDT=' + Convert.ToDateTime(dt.Rows(i)(CANCELDT).ToString).ToString(dd-MM-yyyy) + ' Please help me outwhat I am doing wrong

I suggest always dealing with date in any DB in the format of YYYY/MM/DD that's most unambigious format on top of it you should use the oracle TO_DATE() function try the following it may work: Update STI.CANCELRECEIPT SET UPLOADED='Y' WHERE CANCELDT= TO_DATE ( ' + Convert.ToDateTime(dt.Rows(i)(CANCELDT).ToString).ToString( yyyy/MM/dd ) + ')
