upload Document to SP Document library through MS Word

upload Document to SP Document library through MS Word how to restrict this operation to particular SP group users. so you would like to grant contribute/Edit permission to Group A only and Group B/Group C should not be able to able to upload document if this is the case please change the general permissions from 'contribute' to 'read' in your document library for Group B and Group C then everyone from Group B and Group C should be able to open the documents but not write back to the server. while Group A will have same permission and able to contribute.

apply security on list. Not sure how to do that? go to library settings and grant or remove permission.
