Uploading file in update panel

Question

Hi I want to upload video file through upload control which is in update panel. but upload control is not catching has file property. i mean in update panel file is not uploading... Please anybody help...Thanx

First of all you need to work and learn more about UpdatePanel samples. How it works and how to use it. Search for more samples on web. Also the use of AsyncPostBackTrigger . yes i tried..but i didn't get. cause upload control & change file btn are together. and if i removed update pnl then file is not uploading...hence i used update panel for change btn only. & i m using update panl for save btn also. then file gets uploaded but when i click on change btn page gets postback which i don't want. i used this code in both update pnl Triggers > asp : PostBackTrigger ControlID =change_btn /> Triggers > Suggest any code. thanx

Actually I am trying to save all records & uploaded file (after selecting by browse) in database through only one btn SAVE. I used ur soln for save btn but it's not working.. i have change file btn which is used to select fie by making upload cntrl visible true. then i m trying to save all records...Please send me any apropriate code.

First of all its not recommended of using an FileUplaod control in UpdatePanel. Put the FileUpload outside the UpdatePanel.

Use Update Panel File Upload Control and use a PostBackTrigger Control to force a postback only for the File Upload Control Otherwise File Upload wont work in Update Panel.
