In the absence of anyone more experienced answering you here is my advice. Work out what features of the RTB you actually need and then design your own control based on a standard TextBox and add those features you need. I had used the Tag property in the full framework which is missing in the Compact version so I used my own control. I am a newbie but with help from the net you will find plenty of examples. Another option may be OpenNETCF but I am not sure if they have a RTB. Good liuck Alan
