Use of C Programming in nowdays , r

Greetings according to the time,

It is my question that what is a mean to use c as a programming language for very small scale apps on console ,sometimes it is becomes critical to tell  any student of X Grade   who ask me that in the modern age of programming where JAVA & C# pron.c Sharp replacing all of before. Somewhere  it is a point that every young programmer wants to know and the n personally please suggest me book based GUI & Graphics in C.

 I think it will be a great help to an epic Teacher or you can say c lover  learner.
