Use of Connection Object

Hi friends I want to know what is use of connection object when we try to create database connection in ADO.Net ? Thank you.

A connection object (such as SqlConnection or OleDbConnection) represents a unique connection to a data source. In the case of a client/server database it is equivalent to a network connection to the server.
