Use of .echo ON in SQLite

I know that .echo ON display the command we have written. But Whats its use. Why we will display the command we have already written

monika as per me when we create table or database in sqllite at that time file is also get created.

Hi Monika if you set echo ONthen output will be SQL script echoed in the CSV file with output. now lets think of someone who dont have orignal script n have only output file....so he can easily get to know what is flow of output through sql commandsi think thats the use of echo ON. Note:- you can set it OFF by 2 ways 1.set echo off 2. by calling sqlplus in script with the silent option: sqlplus -s second is nedd when you pass whole script as input to some command like catthat time 1st not works Thanks Pravin.
