Use the serialport RS-232 in C#?

Welcome I want to communicate with the serialport in C#? Is there a class that can help my or must I bulid something myself? I have search the net for tutorials on this subject but could not find anything. // Magnus

Magnus This is a question that keeps coming up mostly because it was a major oversight on Microsoft's part not to include it with the .Net Platform. Your easiest route will be to use the MSComm component. It can also be done through direct calls to the kernel using P/Invoke and there are a few examples of this out on the itnernet. There are also a couple wrapper classes that people have written for serial communication but I haven't had much luck with them. -James
