Why can't we call Stored Procedure from UDF??

Hi Pramod As we know we can not perform any DDLDML operation inside a function except Select and also we can not use any error handling & transactions inside this. But we can do all these operations inside Stored Procedure. So if we call any SP inside UDF then there are chances for occurring all these operations. That is why sql not allows us to call any SP inside UDF Thanks
