UserID and transaction date and time

HI

I am working on windows forms. The DB i am using in SQl 2005. I want to capture the UserID and the Datetime of the persons who are logging into the form and doing any changes. I want to save them in a Database. So how should i record the UserIDs and time,date.... The User ID to be captured is the windows UserID.

Hi i know the basics . I dont know how to capture the user ID( Windows login ID ). I mean i heard some principle statements but did not have a minute idea about it. so can you please help me regarding this abt how to capture ID and time of action
