I think that since the link that Janis provides is for code that Janis wrote it is different than if it was an external link for code that someone else wrote. I think it is also a good idea to encourage Janis to write an article in this web site with the code. As far as I know it is entirely acceptable to do that; for a person to put code that they wrote in an article in this web site even if the code also exists in the author's own web site.

I meant to say if articles blogs forum posts etc were not available in this website then you can give an external link. The link provided by you is from outside this website. Here there is no problem in sharing an external link as long as this websites allows.

You can use a couple of different technologies but I think the best for what you want to do is javascript ( http://www.javascriptkit.com/script/cut18.shtml ). You can also wrap everything around and UpdatePanel so that you don't get flickers on the page. You can also use Silverlight.
