Using sql database in silverlight

Hi Friends I want to use my sql database within my silverlight application. Now my question is that is the LINQ to SQL only way to working with sql in silverlight or I can use something else.....? Thank You....

Hi You can use Linq to sql as well as sql server in silverlight application which is used at service side. Using service we can access data in silverlight aplication. Silverlight application doesnot support the AD.net object like DataTable DataSet DataColumn. Hope this will help you. Thanks.

Hi kimi We cannot use the LINQ to SQL class in the Silverlight directly and Silverlight cannot use the ADO.Net as well. In my opinion if you want to connect database in Silverlight you should create a Web service and then call the web service in Silverlight the .Net web service can use LINQ to SQL and ADO.Net.
