hi, there is regex validation control in asp.net, this can be use to validate Master card number. in Regex validation control, you must put your regex in ValidationExpression property. Here's some C# code which shows how you can do simple validation of a MasterCard number: using System; using System.Text.RegularExpressions; class Test { static void Main() { string ccn = "5145 0023 5345 7812"; bool isValid = Validate(ccn); // True Console.WriteLine(isValid); Console.ReadKey(); } static bool Validate(string ccn) { // get rid of any spaces ccn = ccn.Replace(" ", ""); string regExp = "^5[1-5][0-9]{14}$"; return Regex.IsMatch(ccn, regExp); } } However, in addition to this, you can further reduce the chances that it's an invalid card number by checking that it's consistent with the LUHN algorithm. The following regular expression should validate a credit card number as being a potential MasterCard number as these always begin with 51 to 55 and then have 14 other digits: string regExp = "^5[1-5][0-9]{14}$";
