hi there is regex validation control in asp.net this can be use to validate Master card number. in Regex validation control you must put your regex in ValidationExpression property. Here's some C# code which shows how you can do simple validation of a MasterCard number: using System; using System.Text.RegularExpressions; class Test { static void Main() { string ccn = 5145 0023 5345 7812; bool isValid = Validate(ccn); // True Console.WriteLine(isValid); Console.ReadKey(); } static bool Validate(string ccn) { // get rid of any spaces ccn = ccn.Replace(  ); string regExp = ^5[1-5][0-9]{14}$; return Regex.IsMatch(ccn regExp); } } However in addition to this you can further reduce the chances that it's an invalid card number by checking that it's consistent with the LUHN algorithm. The following regular expression should validate a credit card number as being a potential MasterCard number as these always begin with 51 to 55 and then have 14 other digits: string regExp = ^5[1-5][0-9]{14}$;
