Vectors in C#(beginner)

Question

Hello I am new to C# and I am currently translating a program from C++ to C#...and I was wondering whether vectors exist in C#...I have looked in my book and also online but I am unable to receive any help.

ArrayList is the closest replacement to a vector in C++ but I would recommend looking into generic lists eg. List  List

ArrayList is in System.Collections. The items can be various objcts and the compiler does not require that they all be the same. That is not the same as std::vector and all other C++ standard classes so collectons in the System.Collections.Generic Namespace are more consistent with C++ classes.

a vector consists of 2 or 3 float values so you'd better store it inside a muti-dimensional array: float x y z; x = 10.0f; y = 20.0f; z = 30.0f; float [ ] multidim = new float [1 2 2]; multidim[0 0 0] = x; multidim[0 1 0] = y; multidim[0 0 1] = z; Hope this helps.
