ViewModel In MVC4

Question

Hi As we use all validation in our Model and in view we just write our HTML code whatever we want to show to end user than what is ViewModel and when and where we use this?

Hi Kumar  ViewModel : A view mode represents only the data that you want to display on your view in which scenario we will used viewmodel : view model only represents the data that you want to use nothing else. You can imagine all the unnecessary code and validation if you have a domain model with 20 properties and you only want to update a single value. in this case you would only have this one value/property in the view model and not all the properties that are in the domain object. In some cases we came up with a requirement where we want to display multiple details(more than one model ) in the same view.
