Virtual path directory same name in two servers

Question

Hi All I have one .net application  i hosted as virtual directory with same name in two different servers  when i using the link from UI which ip it refers example : http://example/webforms/frmlogin.aspx it is hosted on 10.1.1.1 example : http://example/webforms/frmlogin.aspx it is hosted on 10.1.1.2 when accesing the above link which server it is considering. please suggest

Hi you can try fiddler tool to check the ip address. or you can use tracert command like this url http://www.instructables.com/id/Find-the-IP-address-of-a-website-using-command-pro/

Hi Subhani The below code helps you to get the IP address of the hosted one. string hostName = Dns.GetHostName(); string myIP = Dns.GetHostByName(hostName).AddressList[0].ToString(); You can display IP or some other conditional text based on IP. So you can identify the URL is accessed from which server. Best Regards Ramchand

When you try to access those application you need to provide IP address of the machine. Like: http://10.1.1.2/webforms/frmlogin.aspx Let me know if have any doubt.
