Web application for tracking employee daily work status

Question

Dear Friends Please help me i am creating a web application to track daily work status of employee and tracking there output versus working hour. If any reference or help please comment it. I don't have any idea where to start any idea will be welcome and appreciated.

First of all you can use some open source Project Management tools. You just need to explore the existing tools and see which suits your requirements. However if you still need to develop your own application then below are my suggestions. Admin Module User Management - Develop a module with the features of addedit read and list of all users. Task Management - Develop module with the fetures of addeditread and list of all the task. This also includes assigning tasks to any user. Reports - Develop a couple of reports using which you can understand the data about all the users along with thier work status on a daily basis Notification - Build a Windows Service that run in the nights which sends you notifications about each of the user (department wise) along with their work status User Module Should be able to log into the system and see all his/her workitems. Able to update the status of the workitem Able to fill the timesheet for each day against each work item. These are the basic functionalities that would be required for building such systems.
