Web Services in aspnet 2.0

Question

Hi i want to send an email through asp.net 2.0 web service if the certain time condition say on 10am daily the email should get shooted from web applcaition Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Vijay

.Net has classes for sending email. Can you use that? If you can then there are articles in this web iste that you can use.

refer a discussion I was trying to help you in normal ways how people send mails. If it doesn't helped you then just ignore. Am also looking forward for this thread answer will be helpful too me also. Might someone came up with a solution.

1. As you said mail must be automated at 10 am only. 2. This must be a daily process for all users without any user interaction. 3. If you are using SQL Server as DB you can create jobs with your logic to send mails at 10 am.

Hi Suthish Actly i am doing web application and it will get hosted on server. The requirement is that if some employee failed to enter his attendance detail then the application will check in the database if the column is blank then at 10 am the email will get shooted automatically.

Why dont go with an windows application and scheduled to run at 10am daily.
