Hi, I want to know that How many web.config files that can be there an ASP.NET application ?

Hi Deepak, .Net allows to create more than one web.config file in the asp.net application. Usually when you create the application, it will have one default web.config file in the root of the application. But you can have one web.config file per folder and it will have the highest precdience from the inner most folder. suppose if you have five folders in the application then you have have web.config files in the each of the folder. The web pages in the folder will take the configurations from that folder web.config file and if there is no matching config files then it will look into the next level. Hope you this will help.
