beause your database is not attached to server you need to attach the database to sql server by right cliking on Database.mdf file and spefiy the connection

hi friend my asp.net page is running fine in IIS but when i tried to connect to mdf. file it is chowing error .. CREATE DATABASE permission denied in database 'master'. An attempt to attach an auto-named database for file C:\inetpub\wwwroot\modified student\App_Data\Database.mdf failed. A database with the same name exists or specified file cannot be opened or it is located on UNC share. then I changed the path of my mdf file like DataSource=.\SQLEXPRESS;AttachDbFilename=|DataDirectory|\Database.mdf to datasource=C:\inetpub\wwwroot\modified student\App_Data\Database.mdf; and now it showing error A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: SQL Network Interfaces error: 26 - Error Locating Server/Instance Specified)
