Computers in the Computer Centres are mostly on Workgroup. Computers in Big Organizations are Mostly on Domain. Well that is a funny Answer :) In Short: Workgroup: Combination of Small collection of Computer Systems on Local Network. You can do it at your home also :) Each system Part of Workgroup has Local Accounts. Domian: Distribution of Comuputers on Wide Area Network. There will be Server and Adminstrator to control the Login and securities etc. That is all I know. But It is possible to answer this Question the Better way by the Network Infra-structure people. They may tell you a big story.
